Youth Choir

Choral group for children ages 10-18. Both boys and girls welcome. Not required to be in private lessons to join but the Teacher has the discretion to recommend private lessons in order to continue in the group if needed. Group will perform at various venues. Minimum 6 Teacher: Sheila Gardner

Class Dates: Fridays 5:30pm - 6:00pm

Cost: $40/month

Rock Band

The Rock Ensemble program at That MUSIC PLACE provides a unique opportunity for our private lesson students who are studying guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, and voice to become active members of a band. Each band prepares and rehearses a show that they will perform in various venues in front of live audiences. Ensemble bands hold rehearsals weekly and can expect to perform approximately 8-12 shows per year.Heavy emphasis is placed on the members learning to work and play together as one unit to entertain the audience. Band members are encouraged to be creative with their performances and to try out new ideas for sound and visual effect. Students are also given opportunities to learn about the other instruments used in their band.

Ensemble is one of those activities that students will encounter in their lives that will give them back what they put into it. All band members are encouraged to participate as much as possible. They can ask questions, give feedback, listen to others ideas, and get involved.
